WEST WINDSOR, NJ. – The Adrian College men's rowing team competed in the Varsity 4+ at the IRA National Championship. The Bulldogs entered the tournament seeded 33^rd before going on to make a run and place fourth in their final, and posted the highest finish for Division III schools.
 
The Bulldog 4+ boat consisted of Sam Wyzlic (Coxswain), Seth Parsons, Kade Doyle, Franco Van Oordt, and Evan Barletta. After competing in the opening time trails, Adrian's ranking moved from 33^rd to 23^rd and landed them a spot in one of the event Semifinal Races. Adrian placed second in their semifinal with a time of 6:32.418 to advance to one of the six Varsity 4+ Finals.
 
In the finals, Adrian went up against Stanford, La Salle, Cornell University, Northeastern, and Marist and came away with a fourth-place finish with a time of 6:44.017. The Bulldogs battled against Division I competition in the later rounds, but highlighted their National Championship appearance as the highest placing Division III school. The team's finish marks the highest finish for a Division III school in the last two seasons at the IRA National Championship.
 
Adrian's season comes to a close after the National Championship as they concluded the races improving their program ranking to 22^nd in the country. The Bulldogs will return next year for the 2024-25 season.
