ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team finished the regular season at home on Wednesday. The Bulldogs hosted Hope College where they fell 3-0 by set scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-20.
 
The Bulldogs finished the first set with a hitting percentage of .114 with 11 kills on 44 attacks. Hope recorded 15 kills on 45 attacks to help take the set. In the second set, Adrian trailed 8-0 before getting on the board. The Bulldogs slowly cut into the lead but couldn't pull of the set win and went down 2-0. Adrian finished the second set with nine kills on 38 attacks while the Dutch recorded 15 kills on 36 attacks.
 
In the third set, Adrian trailed 12-0 before picking up its first point. Adrian battled all the way back and tied the set 15-15. Hope finished the set on a run and came away with the 25-20 set three win to complete the sweep over the Bulldogs. Adrian finished the third set with ten kills on 37 attacks while Hope racked up 15 kills on 38 attacks.
 
Amber Morris led the Bulldogs with ten kills on the afternoon followed by seven from Mallory Dorow and six from Destiny Johnson. Morris also totaled three aces to lead the team while Johnson led Adrian in blocks with four. Hailey Farrell finished with 25 assists while Mya Minjares racked up 14 digs.
 
The Bulldogs clinched a spot to the MIAA Conference Tournament earlier this week and will host a first round matchup at the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. The official bracket will be released later this weekend with all of the tournament information.
