ANDERSON, Ind. -- The Adrian College men's basketball team began the 2022-23 season on Friday night as they traveled to Anderson University. The Bulldogs struggled in the second half and dropped the opening game 75-54.
The Bulldogs trailed by seven at halftime by a score of 32-25. The Bulldogs led five minutes into the game by a score of 11-9. Nick Seifert scored five straight points for the Bulldogs with a pair of layups and a free throw. Anderson then went on a run to lead by ten with 5:04 left to play in the half. Jesse Lawson nailed the a three pointer for Adrian followed by back-to-back jumpers from Kendall Chrismon to cut into the lead.
Anderson jumped out early in the second half bring their lead to 13. The Bulldogs later trailed by 22 with 3:11 to go in the game and were unable to produce a comeback.
Chrismon led the way for Adrian with 15 points followed by ten from James Clay and nine from Seifert. The Bulldogs struggled as a team rebounding as Anderson won the boards 43-28.
The Bulldogs look to turn things around tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Manchester University for a 3:00 PM tip-off.
