NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Adrian College men's basketball game bounced from last night's loss with a 67-66 victory on the road at Manchester University. The Bulldogs were led by
Victor Sheffey and Nick Seifert who combined for 32 of the team's points.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 15-8 lead with the help of seven consecutive points from Sheffey. Adrian continued to expand on their lead with baskets from Jesse Lawson, Josh Rechsteiner and Kendall Chrismon to lead by 14. Manchester began to climb back into the game and cut the Adrian lead to four before halftime.
In the second half, the Bulldogs went up ten with baskets from Seifert, James Clay, and
Michael Rightnowar. Manchester went on another run and eventually took the lead with 8:24 to go in the game. After a back and forth battle, Manchester went up 66-64 with 17 seconds to go, but Seifert buried a game winning three-pointer with four seconds remaining to pick up the 67-66 victory.
Sheffey led the way with 18 points for Adrian followed by 14 from Seifert. Chrismon recorded 11 points off the bench while Josh Jordan added 10. Seifert completed the double-double as he grabbed 12 rebounds for Adrian.
The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday as they travel to Defiance College for a 7:00 PM road game.
