DEFIANCE, Ohio -- On Saturday afternoon, the Adrian's College men's basketball team traveled to Defiance, Ohio to take part in a close contest with the Defiance College Yellow Jackets and came up short, falling 88-79. 
 
1st Half: 
The Bulldogs started off strong with Victor Sheffey completing an and-one. To keep it close the entire half, Kendall Chrismon hit a couple of three-point shots and De'Ovion Price knocking down a couple tough two-point baskets. This would help the Bulldogs later in the half as they managed to put up 39 points to keep it close while Defiance just could not seem to miss and scored 42 points. 
 
2nd Half: 
The second half started out with a three-point shot made by Defiance but it was business by the Bulldogs after Sheffey and Price got to the charity stripe and hit major free throws to tie up the game. Defiance could not be stopped behind the arch hitting three after three in the second and managed to pull away late forcing Adrian College to start fouling.
 
Bulldog Contributors: 
Sheffey was the leading scorer this afternoon for the Bulldogs with 20 points going 6-13 from the field and a perfect 7-7 at the free throw line. Price was closely behind with 18 points going 5-12 from the field and 7-10 from the stripe. Nick Seifert was the last Bulldog in double figures contributing 12 points with 11 rebounds to make it a double-double. 
 
The men's basketball team is back in action next Tuesday as cross town rival Siena Heights visits the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center, where tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
