SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Adrian College men's basketball team began action at the Wittenberg Holiday Tournament on Monday afternoon. The Bulldogs opened the tournament against Ohio Wesleyan where Adrian dropped the contest 71-59.
 
The Bulldogs trailed by seven at halftime by a score of 29-22. Victor Sheffey and De'Ovion Price each had six points for Adrian while Kendall Bellamy and James Clay added four points in the first half. It was a battle on the boards with Adrian leading 20-19 on rebounds during the first 20 minutes. The Bulldogs got out to a hot start early in the half as they led by eight with 15:44 to play in the first.
 
Ohio Wesleyan continued to expand its lead in the second half as they led by 16 with 11:43 to go in the game. Ohio Wesleyan took advantage of turnovers scoring 19 points against Adrian's six.
 
Sheffey finished the day with a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Price finished with 13 points followed by ten from Nick Seifert. Bellamy finished the day with nine points to go with seven rebounds.
 
The Bulldogs will look to go 1-1 in the tournament as they face off against host school Wittenberg University, tomorrow night at 7:00 PM.
