BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Adrian College women's basketball team dropped their match to Bluffton University Tuesday evening 52-67.
How It Happened
The women's basketball team was in a battle with Bluffton University in the first half of play, trailing by as much as eight points and as little as four, after the first two quarters.
The Bulldogs found themselves in a 13 point deficit with 2:50 remaining in the third quarter after a made three by Bluffton University. The Bulldogs would storm back, pulling within six points of the Beavers after going on a nine to two run, which was capped off by a three pointer from Morgan Babb with 8:52 remaining in the fourth.
Tonight, the Bulldogs were led by Juniors
Jordan Phillips and
Julia Tierman in the scoring department, as the duo scored 13 points each this evening. For Phillips, tonight she recorded her second highest scoring performance on the season after matching her season high of 3 three pointers made. As for Tierman, she had a strong overall game recording 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
As a team, the Bulldogs scored 20 points in the paint, and recorded 19 points off turnovers during the contest.

The Bulldogs will travel to Puerto Rico to play in next week's Puerto Rico Sports Tour. The women's basketball team will first face off with Mount Holyoke College on Thursday, December 29 at 11:00 AM at the Coliseo Mario Morales (Mario Morales Coliseum) which is located on Ave Santa Rosa Guaynabo, 00969, Puerto Rico.
