GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – The Adrian College women's basketball team fell to Hardin-Simmons 55-79 Friday afternoon. Freshman Morgan Babb led the way for the Bulldogs with 12 points and four boards off the bench.
How It Happened
This afternoon marked the first-ever matchup between the Bulldogs and Hardin-Simmons University. The Bulldogs played catch-up throughout the entire game as they were outscored by their foes 28-7 in the first quarter. The Bulldogs would fight back, outscoring Hardin-Simmons University 18-13 in the third quarter, but their first-quarter deficit was too great to recover from.
After today's performance, Jordan Phillips has now knocked down 2 or more three-pointers for her third consecutive game. This afternoon marked the third time in her career that she would score 2 threes or more in three straight games. As a team, the Bulldogs had 31 points off the bench, scored 26 points in the paint, and added 14 points off turnovers during the afternoon.
