HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's basketball team traveled to Hope College on Saturday for an MIAA match up. The Bulldogs struggled dropping the contest 82-68 to fall to 4-17 on the season.
De'Ovion Price led the team with 17 points for Adrian followed by 14 from
Kendall Chrismon.
The Bulldogs struggled to get the offense going in the first half only shooting 8-of-27 and 3-of-12 from beyond the arch. The Flying Dutchmen shot 42.1% in the first half leading them to a 40-29 lead at the break.
The Bulldogs shot better in the second half recording a second half shooting percentage of 44.4%. It was fouls that got Adrian in trouble taking out it's leading scorer as Price fouled out of the game.Â
Hope had the height advantage as well and they grabbed 45 boards against Adrian's 30. The Bulldogs  finished the game with nine steals which helped force Hope to 20 turnovers.
Price and Chrismon combined for 31 points on the night while
P'hariz Watkins recorded 11 off the bench, and
Josh Rechsteiner scored seven off the bench.
Hope came away with the 82-68 victory to sweep the regular season series between Adrian and the Dutchmen.
The Bulldogs have the opportunity to see Hope again this season as the MIAA conference just released the MIAA Tournament will have eight teams this season due to COVID-19.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Wednesday on their home court against Albion College at 7:30 PM.
