CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- The RV Adrian College men's lacrosse team took the field on Saturday on the road at Wabash College. The Bulldogs were looking to get back on the winning track after dropping a match to Kenyon on Wednesday. Adrian came away with a 23-4 blowout victory with a trio of players recording career milestones.
Chris French and
Peyton Gasche each picked up their 100th career goals, and
Max Leventis recorded his 400th career ground ball.
Adrian got the scoring going early with a goal from Gasche three and a half minutes into the game.
Michael Jonas added a goal 18 seconds later to go up 2-0. Gasche struck again just under the six minutes mark in the first followed by a goal from
Jake Coakley to lead 4-0 after the first quarter.
The Bulldogs kept it going in the second with and early goal from
Chris French. Gasche struck for a third time with ten minutes to go in the quarter shortly followed by another goal from French.
Brett Koczenasz added to the scoring along with
Brandon Hoerauf who netted a pair to lead 10-0. Adrian added two more goals before the end of the half as
Travis Fox scored on the man-up followed by a late goal from
Jason Klein to lead 12-0 at halftime.
In the second half, French netted a pair of goals early followed by goals from
Derek Hassel, two from
Eli McComb, and one from
Trenton Garcia to lead 18-0. Wabash got on the bark in the third on a man-up opportunity.
Michael Jonas and
Riley Edwards added goals to lead 20-1 after three quarters of play.
Wabash scored to start the fourth quarter but was quickly answered by McComb's third goal of the game. After Wabash made it 21-3,
Justin Norgrove scored along with Hoerauf. With time winding down, Wabash found the back of the net one last time to put the final score at 23-4.
Sam Spangler got the win in goal for the Bulldogs making three saves in three quarters allowing one goal.
Mason Obeldobel closed on the game in the fourth quarter with three goals allowed on four saves. Leventis grabbed 10 ground balls to help record his 400th career ground ball while winning 22 of 24 face offs.
The Bulldogs move to 5-2 on the season and look to win two in a row next Wednesday as they travel to Heidelberh University for a 7:30 PM game.
