ADA, Ohio - At Kerscher Stadium, the Bulldog track and field team competed in the second annual Mike Becraft Invitational, hosted by Ohio Northern University.
Adrian College garnered three first-place finishes over the weekend, and placed fifth overall on the men's side, while the women's fell in at sixth-place.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The 'Dogs placed three runners inside the top ten of the 5,000-meter finals, led by
Brett Carlisle's race-winning time of 15:47.00. Teammate
Robert Diebold finished just behind in second-place (15:55.83), and
Caleb Billings came in ninth-place (17:20.98).

Weston Kvalevog leaped a meet-best 1.95 meters in the high jump, moving him into the top spot in the MIAA's Performance List. The junior also ran a seventh-best time of 51.47 in the 400-meter dash.
- In the hurdle events,
Joshua Light turned in a third-place effort (15.34) in the 100-meter portion, while
Asher Cousino placed third (59.42) in the 400-meter hurdle race.

Nolan Breithaupt ran a personal-best 11.25 in the 100-meter sprint.
- In the pole vault,
Cameron Overmyer continued his solid freshman campaign with a fourth-place showing (4.02 meters).
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Adrian's domination in the high jump event carried over to the women's competition, as
Cailey Beaudoin and Ciara Hesley finished first (1.66 meters) and third (1.55), respectively.
- In the 5,000-meter finals,
Emme Koutz led three top-ten placers for the Bulldogs with a third-best time of 19:47.67.
Sydney Feekings closed out in fourth-place (21:13.51), and
Mallory Bowker finished in seventh (21:58.49).

Bailey Mruzik turned in a fifth-place effort in the 3,000-meter steeplechase finals with a time of 13:13.20.

Bryanna Carey posted top-five finishes in both the shot put finals (2nd, 11.61 meters) and the discus finals (4th, 35.56 meters).
Next up for the Adrian track and field team is the penultimate meet before the MIAA Outdoor Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan at Concordia University, which is scheduled for April 29 and 30.
