KALAMAZOO, MI - At the Markin Center, the Adrian men's and women's tennis teams ran into a nationally-ranked road block in Kalamazoo College.
The homestanding Hornets controlled competition from start to finish, picking up wins in all six doubles bouts, and 11 of 12 singles duals.
On the men's side, junior
Zachary Perry (4-9) captured his first conference victory of 2022, snapping a three-match skid with a two-set sweep (6-4, 6-3) of Lukas Hultberg.
Then, later on, senior
Jules Johnson (10-3) turned in a strong effort in her singles contest, battling back from a one-set deficit to force a winner-take-all third frame.
The Bulldog tennis teams return home for their next match of the season, as they will host Alma College on April 13 at the Craft Tennis Complex beginning at 3 p.m.
