NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. -- The Adrian College men's tennis team competed against Manchester University on Saturday on the road. The Bulldogs took home an 8-1 victory to mark new head coach
Teddy Morse's first men's tennis collegiate win.
The Bulldogs picked up a pair of shutouts to start the day in Doubles.
Brandon Falk and
Sebastian Smith won 8-0 at No. 1 Doubles while
Ryan Cuddy and Seasn Ruhf won 8-0 at No. 2 Doubles. Adrian took home the third doubles victory by forfeit to lead 3-0.
In Singles, Falk started with a pair of 6-1 victories to win at No. 1 Singles. Cuddy took the first set at No. 2 Singles, but was defeated the rest of the way to record the lost. Smith competed at No. 3 Singles with a 6-0 and 6-1 victory followed by a pair of 6-0 wins at No. 4 Singles by
Luke Holowinski.
Whitman Hopper grabbed a win at No. 5 Singles with a 6-1 and 6-2 score while
Zachary Perry won by forfeit at No. 6 Singles.
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, September 17 when they open up at home against Anderson University at 12:00 PM.
