MARION, Ind. -- The Adrian College men's soccer team went on the road on Monday night to Indiana Wesleyan in another non-conference matchup. The Bulldogs struggled offensively and dropped the match 4-0.
The first 30 minutes of the match was scoreless until Indiana Wesleyan broke the silence. Adrian limited the damage in the first half to go into the break trailing 1-0. The Bulldogs made the most of their opportunities as all four of their first half shots landed on goal.
Indiana Wesleyan extended its lead in the 65th minute to lead 2-0. They continued to score later in the match finding the back of the net in the 81st minute and the 87th minute to lead 4-0. The Bulldogs collected six more shots in the match and landed all six on goal.Â
Adrian finished with ten total shots with all of them on goal during the match.
Juan Tapia led the team with three shots followed by two from
Justin Sarka and
Luke Grytza.
Gavan Bignall,
Dante Perri, and
Seth Cain added a shot in the effort.
Jackson Vacca got the start in goal for the Bulldogs and totaled eight saves.
Adrian will turn things around quickly this week as they travel to Defiance College on Wednesday, September 14 when they take on the Yellow Jackets at 4:00 PM.
