ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's soccer team hosted Wabash College on Saturday night in a non-conference contest. The Bulldogs struggled offensively as they dropped the match 4-1.
Wabash struck first after an own goal from Adrian to lead 1-0 in the 19
th minute. Wabash extended the lead in the 27
th minute to lead 2-0. Shortly after, Wabash took a shot from the top of the box which found the back of the net to lead 3-0 at halftime.
Wabash made it a 4-0 game after a goal in the 60
th minute. Adrian responded four minutes later to put themselves on the board and make it 4-1.
Owen Emert netted the goal for the Bulldogs on an assist from
Juan Tapia.
Wabash out-shot the Bulldogs 19-3 and 11-1 on shots on goal.
Jackson Vacca made the start in goal totaling eight saves on the night.
Adrian returns to the field on Monday, September 19 at 7:00 PM when they take on Anderson University.
