TIFFIN, Ohio – The Adrian College women's volleyball team continued its non-conference season on the road on Tuesday night as they traveled to Heidelberg University. The Bulldogs trailed 2-1, but went on to force a fifth set where they fell short at the end.
 
Adrian came from behind in the first set of the match and came away with a 30-28 victory. Adrian totaled 12 kills on 36 attacks with ten errors. The Bulldogs dropped set two by a score of 25-19. Adrian recorded 14 kills on 34 attacks with nine errors. The Bulldogs battled in the third set, but came up short falling 26-24. Adrian recorded four aces in the set to go with 11 kills.
 
The Bulldogs battled back to force a fifth set after taking set four, 25-23. Adrian recorded 17 kills with eight errors on 50 attacks in the fourth set. The Bulldogs and Heidelberg battled in the fifth set tied 9-9, but the Student Princes sparked a late rally to win the fifth set 15-11.
 
Destiny Johnson led the team with 15 kills followed by 14 from Amber Morris and 12 from Mallory Dorow. Mya Minjares totaled 30 digs on the night followed by 19 from Hailey Farrell and 13 from Morris. Farrell also added 56 assists for Adrian.
 
The Bulldogs return to action on Friday, September 9 as they take on The College of Wooster at Trine University in game one of the MIAA/NCAC Crossover. Friday's match is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
