ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's soccer team was tasked with a quick turnaround with another match on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs hosted the University of Saint Francis at Docking Stadium. Adrian struggled offensively while allowing five goals to lose 5-0.
The Bulldogs matched the intensity early in the match with the game scoreless for the first 27 minutes. Saint Francis got on the board just before the 28
th minute to lead 1-0.
Saint Francis added to its lead in the 53
rd minute to lead 2-0 before scoring two goals in the 68
th minute to lead 4-0. Saint Francis added some insurance in the 79
th minute to go up 5-0 and hold on to win.
Dante Perri collected a pair of shots for Adrian and landed both on goal.
Chris Czyz totaled four shots on the night with one on goal for Adrian.
Juan Tapia,
Gavan Bignall, and
Mason Vanisacker also added shots on goal.
Dominic Edwards made his first collegiate appearance in goal on Wednesday and made nine saves.
Adrian returns to action with another home contest on Saturday, September 10 at 7:30 PM when they host Rochester University.
