HOLLAND, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team saw its two-game win streak come to a close Wednesday evening against the Hope College Dutch. The Bulldogs were led by
Makayla Clement, who had a team-high 10 points.
How It Happened
The Bulldogs found themselves down early in the first quarter of play. After a made jumper by Clement to bring the Bulldogs within two with five minutes remaining in the first, Hope closed the quarter on a 13-4 run. The Bulldogs would find themselves facing a double-digit deficit after one-quarter of play Wednesday evening.
In the second quarter, the Bulldogs fought back and maintained the spread. Between 9:04-3:07 in the second, the Bulldogs would outscore Hope 14-12 to bring the score to 39-22 in favor of Hope.
At halftime, sophomore Clement had a tied first-half game-high of eight points to lead the Bulldogs into the break. In the third quarter, Clement cracked the double-digit scoring threshold for the second game in a row with a pull-up jumper at the 9:09 mark. Tonight marked the fifth game this season where Clement would score in double figures and the twelfth double-digit scoring game of her career.

Jordan Phillips Three Point Percentage Tracker
Jordan Phillips, the junior from Saginaw, Michigan maintained her career-best seventh straight game with at least one three-pointer made. Phillips knocked down her triple with 8:23 remaining in the third quarter off an assist from Clement. Phillips now with 56 career three-pointers, sits only four three-pointers away from cracking into the top ten in all-time three-point percentage for the bulldogs, minimum of 60 makes.
