ANGOLA, IN. -- The Adrian College track team kicked off the 2023 calendar year at the Sean Brady Alumni Invitational Saturday. The men's track team placed 5th and the women's team placed 7th this weekend.
In the men's 200 meter event, sophomore Asher Cousino placed 11th with a time of 23.14. Looking into the men's 400 meter event, senior Weston Kvalevog placed 6th with a time of 52.64.
In the men's 1000 meter event, junior Ethan Handley placed 9th with a time of 2:48:42.
In pole vaulting, Cameron Overmyer placed 4th, while Theo Shepherd placed second in men's high jump.
On the women's side, in the 400 meter event sophomoreRylea Mougrabi placed 5th with a time of 1:06:.04.
In the 1000 meter event, Junior Emme Koutz placed 5th after running a 3:19.94.
Additionally, in the women's high jump, Cailey Beaudoin placed 2nd, while Ciara Hesletplaced 4th. Beaudion would jump with a mark of 1.63m, while Heslet would jump 1.55m.
Lastly, in the women's pole vault, Freshman Alayna Paeth and sophomore Amanda Mathews placed fourth and eighth today. For Paeth, her mark was a 2.82m while Matthews would land a 2.37m.
Up next: The track team will travel to Ohio Northern University for the Larry Cole Invitational on Friday, January 20.
