Price's 30-Point Afternoon Propels Men's Basketball to Victory over Albion

ADRIAN, Mich. —  Saturday afternoon, the Adrian College men's basketball team ended their 5-game losing streak to the Albion College Britons, where they downed their opponent 73-68.

The Bulldogs started the first half on a rough note but eventually got things rolling after going down as much as seven points. Victor Sheffey was the outstanding man from the field in the first half that kept the Bulldogs in the game by hitting a couple three-point shots and a midrange jumper. The Bulldogs would go on to lead as many as seven points until the Britons came back and took the first half by a score of 43-37.

Second half action is where Adrian had the best performance. De'Ovion Price was the man on the court today, nearly scoring half of Adrian's points at a mere 30. Price was 7-for-8 from the foul line while Nick Seifert posted 11 points, six rebounds and also hit 7-for-11 from the charity stripe. The Bulldogs, just like the women's team earlier, buckled down in the second half and played phenomenal defense. The Bulldogs locked up Albion to outscore them 36-25 in the second half. Adrian would go on and secure the victory 73-68 and finally get back on track.

The Bulldogs are back in action Wednesday night, as they take on conference rival Trine University in what should be an enticing matchup after this big victory against Albion. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
