Men's Basketball Falls Short in Game One of the Ron Linhart Memorial Tournament

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Adrian College men's basketball team headed south to play in the Ron Linhart Memorial Tournament on Friday evening. They would play Penn State Altoona where they ended up losing, 71-67.
 
In the first half, both teams struggled from beyond the arc with Adrian going 4-20 and Penn State Altoona shooting 1-11. Bulldogs were still able to control the lead going into halftime with a score of, 32-29. Adrian was down by six at one point in the first half, but fought back and got timely buckets in a back-and-forth battle to end the half on a positive note. The Bulldogs shot 33.33% from the field compared to the Lions who shot 36.67%.
 
In the second half, Adrian went on an 8-0 in the beginning bringing their lead to 40-29. Penn State Altoona did not quiver during the Bulldogs run and eventually took the lead down the stretch at the 3:09 mark, 58-57. Little mistakes defensively for Adrian allowed the Lions to score quickly and keep that lead to eventually win the game, 71-67.
 
To lead the Bulldogs offensively was Seth Logan with a career high 20 points going 6-12 from the three-point line. Kendall Chrismon added 17 points and seven rebounds. Braylon Dickerson grabbed seven rebounds as well while Logan pulled down six throughout the game. DJ Morrow led Adrian with four assists on the night.
 
The Bulldogs will be back in action tomorrow against the loser of Heidelberg University and Bluffton University at 5:00 PM for their second game of the Ron Linhart Memorial tournament.
