DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Adrian College women's basketball team traveled down to Defiance College for a non-conference contest on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs pounced on them early and won, 76-47!
In the first quarter, Adrian got out to a 12-4 lead and never looked back. The Bulldogs dominated Defiance in the paint outscoring them in the first quarter 22-8. Adrian controlled every quarter of play and went into the half with a 43-23 lead. At the half, Adrian shot 51.5% from the field and went 9-10 from the free throw line.
In the second half, the Bulldogs would keep pace by winning quarter three by a five-point margin and win quarter four with a four-point margin. Adrian went 32-67 from the floor and had 41 points scored off of the bench.
To lead Adrian was
Kylie Skidmore with 14 points followed by
Ashlyn Weatherly with 12. Weatherly and Skidmore both grabbed six rebounds each while
Bailey Taylor pulled down five of her own.
Julia Tierman added four assists while
Kaitlyn Otto and Skidmore contributing three each on the night.
Adrian will take on Manchester University for their home opener on Saturday, November 18 at 3:00 PM inside the Merillat Performance Gym!
