ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team took on Manchester University in their home opener on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs would defeat Manchester with a score of, 73-50.
In the first quarter, Adrian would jump on them early.
Julia Tierman would start the game off with a two-point jump shot. The Bulldogs would win the quarter by a margin of seven points. Manchester would hang around and eventually win the second quarter 14-11, closing the halftime score to 32-28. In the first half, Adrian would shoot 42.42% from the floor and 50% from beyond the three-point arc.
To start the second half, Adrian would put some pressure on Manchester in the full-court. Adrian would grow their lead to as much as 18 in the third quarter and 23 points to end the game. The Bulldogs would shoot 50% from the field and go 3-8 from the three-point line.
To lead Adrian was
Bailey Taylor with a career-high 19 points and seven rebounds.
Julia Tierman would add 14 more points and seven rebounds herself.
Kylie Skidmore ended the game with five assists to lead Adrian.
The women's basketball team will compete at Siena Heights University at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21.
