ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team hosted Stevenson University in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon. After winning a pair of games at the buzzer earlier in the season, the pattern continued with the Bulldogs taking 3-2 victory with four seconds left on the clock.
In the first period, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from
Ryan Pitoscia. Stevenson responded just under five minutes later before going on to take a 2-1 lead over Adrian with 2:45 remaining in the first period.
After a scoreless second period, the Bulldogs entered the third period trailing, 2-1. Pitoscia scored his second of the day to tie the game at 2-2 with 14 minutes to play. With time winding down in the third,
Bradley Somers scored with four seconds remaining to pull ahead 3-2 and win the game.
Dershahn Stewart started in goal for the Bulldogs where he finished the afternoon with 14 saves.
Adrian will return to action on Friday, December 1 when they open up the NCHA series with Concordia Wisconsin at 7PM at home.
