ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey completed the sweep over Marian University on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs defeated the Sabres 5-1 to move to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in NCHA play.
Marian started the scoring on a power play goal after an early Adrian College penalty. Just over three minutes later,
Saige Biddle put the Bulldogs on the board to tie the game 1-1.
Callie Wollschlager added a goal in the period to give Adrian a 2-1 lead.
Allie Hubenschmidt netted a goal for the Bulldogs in the second period to lead 3-1 entering the final 20 minutes of play. Adrian added a pair of goals in the third period on a shot from
Kaleigh Cadorette and
Maya Roy to close out the 5-1 victory.
The Bulldogs totaled 76 shots on goal on Saturday afternoon with 12 coming from
Une Bjelland and ten coming from
Tia Lascelle.
Michaela O'Brien started in goal for the Bulldogs where she totaled 14 saves.
Adrian will have a week off before hosting Aurora University on November 17-18 for another NCHA series. The series will begin on Friday at 7:00 PM.
