MEQUON, Wis. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team shutout Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon on the road to sweep the series. The Bulldogs move to 9-2-0 on the season after the 4-0 victory.
Adrian scored in the first period on a goal from
Une Bjelland to lead 1-0. The opening goal marked Bjelland's fifth of the weekend and fifth consecutive goal after scoring four in the third period last night. After the second period went scoreless,
Annika Hanson scored an early third period goal to lead 2-0.
Maya Roy added a goal later in the period followed by a goal from
Jocelin Hudanish to win 4-0.
Michaela O'Brien started in goal for Adrian where she finished the afternoon with 28 saves in the shutout.
Adrian heads to Europe next week for an international trip. The Bulldogs will stop in Italy where they will face off against the Italian National Team on December 13-14.
