ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's basketball team could not miss from deep as they defeated Alma College on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs finished 66.7% from three-point range knocking down 16 three-pointers. The Bulldogs defeated the Scots 86-79. The 66.7% shooting from three-point land broke the program record for high three-point shooting percentage in a single game. The 16 three-pointers made ties for second with most three-pointers in a single game for the men's basketball program.
In the first half,
Jonathan Duvall opened the game with a three-point basket to give the Bulldogs an early lead. After lead 7-3 early in the game Adrian allowed Alma to come back an take a 13-10 lead. Alma led by as many as five, but the Bulldogs came back.

Nick Seifert all high three-point baskets for the Bulldogs to lead 44-37 with 44 second to play in the half. Adrian went into the locker room leading 44-38.
Alma began the second half on a run cutting into the Adrian lead. Duvall went on to hit back-to-back three-pointers followed by a three-pointer from Rightnowar to lead by nine and force an Alma timeout. Alma brought the lead back to three, but a jumper and a free throw from Price followed by another three-pointer from Duvall put Adrian back up nine. With 5:10 to go in the game, Alma put the score at 74-71 in favor of Adrian. Duvall hit another three-pointer followed by a layup from
Chace Fields and a three-pointer from Seifert to lead by six with 2:40 to go. After Alma put the score at 82-79, Seifert burried another jumper followed by a pair of free throws to lock up the victory.
Price played all 40 minutes for Adrian totaling 27 points on the day. Duvall finished 5-for-7 from deep and totaled 17 points while Seifert added 16. Rightnowar added nine points off the bench.

Also before the game the Bulldogs and the Scots took a moment of silence for former Alma College men's basketball player and coach Tye Edwards. In addition to honoring Tye, the teams each wore Michigan State University shirts to honor Michigan State after its recent tragedy.
The Bulldogs will wrap up its regular season on Saturday, February 18 as they travel to Trine University for a 3:00 PM game. With an Adrian win or a Kalamazoo loss, the Bulldogs will clinch a spot in the MIAA Conference Tournament scheduled for next week.
