ANGOLA, Ind. — On Saturday afternoon the Adrian College men's basketball team fell to the Trine University Thunder by a score of 86-48.
Adrian struggled to convert offensively in the first half, as the start of the game was slow until the Thunder got things going. The found opportunities, but struggled to get shots to fall. The thunder went up as many as 30 and closed out the half up on the Bulldogs, 48-18.
The Adrian second half went a lot better than the first half as they put up 30 points to close out the game finishing with 48, but Trine continued on their spree of scoring. The Thunder closed out the game with 86 points to give total a final score of 86-48.
Leading scores for this afternoon's game was
Jonathan Duvall who scored 11 points after a terrific night against Alma college.
Nick Seifert had nine points while
De'Ovion Price contributed eight.
The Bulldogs now gear up for the MIAA tournament where they will travel to Hope College to face the three seeded Flying Dutchmen. The opening round of the MIAA Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22. Start time is to be determined.
