HANOVER, Ind. – The Adrian College men's lacrosse competed at Hanover College on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs offense unloaded for 19 goals to defeat Hanover and earn their fifth win of the season. Adrian totaled 13 different goal scorers in the game.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead to begin the game.
Brett Koczenasz began the game with the opening goal to lead 1-0.
Michael Jonas scored to lead 2-0 followed by a goal from
Trenton Garcia and
Alec Winegar to lead 4-0.
Tyler Ristau scored to pull ahead 5-0. Hanover scored on a man-up opportunity but Jonas responded to lead 6-1 after the end of the first.
In the second quarter, Jonas and
Austin Selvage scored to lead 8-1. Winegar netted his second goal of the game followed by a goal from
Riley Edwards to lead 10-1 at halftime.
Hanover scored to open the third quarter, but Adrian responded with five unanswered goals. Winegar, Jonas,
Oliver Padilla, Edwards, and
Owen Kelly scored to lead 15-2 entering the fourth quarter.
Jason Klein and
Liam Reif added to the scoring to lead 17-2. Padilla added another goal for the Bulldogs to lead 18-2. Hanover scored a pair to make it 18-4 before
Michael Camacho scored the team's 19
th goal of the game. Adrian went on to win 19-5.
Ethan Krupp,
Mason Obeldobel, and
Sam Spangler shared time in goal for Adrian with Krupp picking up the win. The three goaltenders combined for nine saves.
The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, April 5 at 7:00 PM when they travel to Ohio Wesleyan for a 7:00 PM game.
