ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's tennis team lost to Kalamazoo 5-4 Wednesday. Jules Johnson, Claire Earley, Liv Depies, and Hope Busscher recorded singles victories in the loss.
The senior Johnson defeated her opponent Renee Torres in two sets Wednesday. Johnson now claims a 5-2 record in her last seven singles appearances.
For the freshman Earley, she would defeat her opponent Sophie Zhuang in two sets. With the victory, Earley has now gone 3-3 in her last six singles matches.
Today the sophomore Depies snapped her singles losing streak with her win over Eleni Bougioukou. Depies would complete a two set sweep in her victory this afternoon.
As for Busscher, she would defeat Kalamazoo's Ivy Walker after winning the first set 6-3 and the second set 6-4.
Up Next: The Women's tennis team will host Trine University on Saturday, April 1, at Craft Tennis Complex. Matches will begin at 3:00 PM.
