ALBION, Mich. – The Adrian College women's lacrosse team traveled up to Albion College for another MIAA contest. Things didn't go as planned for the Bulldogs as they fell to the Britons 18-7.
Adrian jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the game.
Jenna Anheuser grabbed back-to-back goals to lead 2-0 in the first three minutes of the game.
Zoe Weber scored on a one-player advantage to lead 3-0. Albion responded with two goals, but
Melaina Springer answered to make it 4-2. Albion went on to score four straight goals to end the quarter and lead 6-4.
In the second quarter, Albion scored six goals against one from Adrian. Springer scored her second goal of the game to trail 12-5 at the half.
The Bulldogs struggled in the second half on offense as Springer and Anheuser scored the only two second half goals. The Bulldogs went on to lose 18-7.
Hannah Reeves started in goal for the Bulldogs totaling seven saves.
Cassidy McGeorge entered in goal in the second half where she totaled eight saves.
The Bulldogs will have a quick turnaround and travel to Trine University on Monday, April 17 for a 7:30 PM game.
