ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team announced its 2023-24 schedule on Monday afternoon. The Bulldogs will look to make another run to the NCAA Tournament after being eliminated last season in the Quarterfinal Round. Adrian finished the 2022-23 campaign with a 26-4 record and earned the No. 4 seed for the NCAA Tournament.
After a pair of exhibition games in October, Adrian will begin the year on the road at Utica University where they will compete in a four-team tournament. The Bulldogs will open up with the host on October 27 followed by a game against Suffolk or Elmira on Saturday depending on the outcome.
The Bulldogs will return home to kick off NCHA play when they host Marian University for a pair of home games. The Bulldogs will then head out on the road to MSOE to face a first-year hockey program for more conference match ups. Adrian will be challenged early when they return home for a two-game series with Aurora University the weekend before Thanksgiving followed by a two-game non-conference home series with Oswego State the weekend after.
Adrian will head out on the road for five consecutive contests to end the 2023 calendar year. The Bulldogs will stop at nationally ranked UW-River Falls before traveling to Concordia Wisconsin for a pair of NCHA games. The Bulldogs will then take a trip to South Carolina for a four-team tournament with Williams and Bowdoin over New Year's Eve.
To start the new year, the Bulldogs will host Lawrence University for a two-game conference series before traveling to Lake Forest College and the University of Dubuque. Adrian will host St. Norbert College the first weekend of February before wrapping up the season with a home-and-home series with Trine University. The final regular season home game will take place on Saturday, February 10 at 3:00 PM when the Bulldogs will hold Senior Day.
The NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs are scheduled to begin on February 16-17 with the Quarterfinal round. The Semi-finals will take place on February 24 followed by the Slaats Cup Finals on March 2. All NCHA Slaats Cup Playoff rounds will take place at the higher seed. The Quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament is scheduled for March 9 followed by the Frozen Four on March 15-17.
