Men's Soccer Falls to Siena Heights in Exciting Back and Forth Match

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College Men's Soccer team lost a tight back and forth battle against inner-city rivals, Siena Heights University tonight, dropping the nearly sold out contest, 4-1.

The Bulldogs and Saints played an exciting match in Adrian's home opener, with Siena opening the scoring in the ninth minute of the first half. Siena would then score again at the 21st minute, before Adrian's Juan Tapia converted on a penalty kick in the 40th minute.

The second half saw the Saints tack on two more goals, finishing with the win. Shots in the match were 15 to 12 in favor of Siena, with ten on goal for Siena and five on goal for the Bulldogs. Corner kicks were 6-2, in favor of Adrian.

Adrian goalkeeper, Jackson Vacca, made six stellar saves for the Bulldogs, while defender, Brady Musser, played all ninety minutes for Adrian in the contest.

The Bulldogs next game will be against Cornerstone University (MI) on Saturday, September 16 at 6:00 PM in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
