SEATTLE. WA – The Adrian College women's volleyball team competed in the Puget Sound Premiere this Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs began the weekend against Eastern University before taking on University of Puget Sound late Friday night. On Saturday, Adrian faced up against Pacific Lutheran University and St. Benedict to complete their weekend in Seattle, WA.
Adrian was defeated by Eastern University 3-0 on Friday. The bulldogs got swept in straight sets 25-19, 25-21, and 25-17.
Grace Croci led the team with six kills in the match against Eastern University followed by 
Amber Morris, 
Mallory Dorow, and 
Ariel Gibson all with four kills a-piece. 
Hailey Farrell led the team with 18 assists while 
Mya Minjares totaled 10 digs.
The Bulldogs were beaten by Puget Sound University 3-1 late Friday night. They lost the first two sets 25-22 and 25-17 but stormed back in the third to take the set 25-14. Adrian just couldn't hold on in the fourth set and eventually ended up losing 25-17.
Amber Morris had a game-high 17 kills to lead the Bulldogs followed by Croci adding six. 
Mya Minjares with a team-high 15 digs and 
Hailey Farrell with 25 assists and 12 digs of her own. 
In game three of the weekend Adrian picked up their first win of the season against Pacific Lutheran 3-0. They swept the Lutes in three straight sets 25-22, 25-21, and 25-20.
To lead the Bulldogs with 15 kills was 
Amber Morris with 
Kayla Chan to follow with seven. 
Mya Minjares recorded another team-high in digs with 12 while 
Hailey Farrell secured 20 assists and eight digs.
To wrap up the four-game weekend, the Adrian Women's volleyball team was defeated by St. Benedict 3-1. Adrian won the first set right out the gate 25-23, but ended up losing three straight sets 25-21, 25-20, and 25-11.
Once again 
Amber Morris led the attack with 15 kills while 
Kayla Chan added seven. 
Hailey Farrell put up 27 assists and a team-high 19 digs. 
Mya Minjares and 
Amber Morris both totaled 15 digs a piece.
Adrian ended the weekend finishing 1-3, but look to build off of the competition moving forward. An achievement to look out for is 
Mya Minjares 1,000th career dig as she is seven away.
The Bulldogs return to action on September 8
th competing in the MIAA/NCAC Crossover in Depauw, IN. They will face Hiram College and Rose-Hulman Friday evening. On Saturday, they will take on Depauw University at 12:15 PM to finish up their weekend.
