Suede Nets Two to Boost Offense to 8-2 Win on the Road Lawrence

APPLETON, Wis. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team opened its NCHA conference series on the road with Lawrence University on Friday evening. The Bulldog offense controlled the game winning by a score of 8-2 and leading in shots on goal, 62-21.
 
The Bulldogs grabbed a 1-0 lead early in the game on a goal from Jacob Suede. Lawrence tied things up at 1-1, but Connor May reclaimed the lead for the Bulldogs to head into the first intermission leading 2-1. Cameron Babiak netted a goal to open the second period followed by Suede's second goal of the game on a power play. Bradley Somers added a power play goal to lead 5-1. Alec Lovisek picked up the team's sixth goal to head into the second intermission with a five-goal lead.
 
Lawrence scored to open the third period and cut the Adrian lead to four. Riley Murphy returned to Adrian's lineup on Friday where he scored the team's seventh goal in the third period. Ryan Pitoscia went on to score later in the period to lead 8-2.
 
Dershahn Stewart got the start in goal for the Bulldogs where he faced 21 shots and totaled 19 saves. Mathew Rehding finished the night with four assists for the Bulldogs while May, Somers, Jaden Shields, and Ian Amsbaugh each added two.
 
The Bulldogs will look to sweep the series tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 PM EST.
