LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team traveled to Lake Forest College on Friday night to open the NCHA series with the Foresters. Adrian earned their third straight shutout with a 5-0 victory on the road.
The Bulldogs led 3-0 after the first period.
Tia Lascelle scored the opening goal for Adrian on a power play which was followed by a goal from Callie Wollsclager and a goal from
Jocelin Hudanish. The Bulldogs added another goal in the second period on a goal from
Zoe Lohrei to lead 4-0. In the third period,
Gia Avalone scored on a power play to complete the 5-0 shutout.
Une Bjelland and Wollschlager each added a pair of assists on the night. The Bulldogs led in shots on goal over the Foresters 45-21 with seven of Adrian's shots on goal coming from Wollschlager.
Michaela O'Brien got the start in net on Friday night where she made 21 saves including 12 in the first period.Â
The Bulldogs move to 15-2-0 on the season and remain perfect in NCHA play at 9-0-0. Adrian wraps up the series with Lake Forest tomorrow after at 4:00 PM CST.
