LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team completed the sweep over Lake Forest College on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 victory over the Foresters. Adrian picked up a pair of goals in the first period, but battled on defense to complete the win.
In the first period,
Hunter Reardon scored an unassisted goal to take a 1-0 lead. Later in the period,
Karmen Anderson scored to lead 2-0 with assists going to
Zoe Lohrei and
Annika Hanson. Lake Forest scored their lone goal in the third period, but Adrian held strong and finished off the win.
The Bulldogs went on to out shoot the Foresters 62-11 on the afternoon.
Michaela O'Brien picked up the win in goal where she recorded ten saves.
The Bulldogs move to 16-2-0 on the season and hold a perfect 10-0-0 record in NCHA play. Adrian will travel to the University of Dubuque next weekend to take on the Spartans in a two-game series for the first time in program history. First game is scheduled for Friday, January 26 at 7:30 PM CST.
