ADRIAN, Mich – The Adrian College men's basketball team put on an impressive shooting performance on Saturday afternoon against The University of Olivet, beating the Comets 86-52.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a nine-point lead towards the end of the first half through important buckets from Nick Seifert and Kendall Chrismon. Going into the break, the Bulldogs extended their lead to 16 and had all the momentum in their favor.
Coming out of the halftime interval, the Bulldogs maintained their momentum and comfortably extended their lead to 20 with 10:31 to play. Adrian was dominant throughout the contest, as they shot 52.5% from the field and 48% from behind the three-point line.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Kendall Chrismon, Braylon Dickerson, and Nick Seifert who put up 18, 16, and 15 respectively. The Bulldogs were also effective from short range, putting up 28 points in the paint compared to Olivet's 16.
With this performance, the Bulldogs move to 4-13 overall and 2-4 in MIAA play. They will look to build on this display as they welcome the Hornets of Kalamazoo College on Wednesday, January 24th at 7:30 PM.
