ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team hosted the Kalamazoo College Hornets on Wednesday evening for a MIAA contest. Adrian moves to 3-4 in MIAA play after a 75-66 victory over the Hornets.
Adrian led 29-26 at halftime after a shooting frenzy. The Bulldogs totaled 32 total shot attempts in the first half while Kalamazoo totaled 24. Adrian shot 31.3% in the half while Kalamazoo shot 37.5%.
Nick Seifert led the team with 11 first half points while
Braylon Dickerson had six.
Josh Rechsteiner finished the half with six rebounds while Dickerson totaled four in the half.
The Bulldogs came out firing in the second half where they went on to shoot 50% finishing the half 15-of-30. Kalamazoo shot 48.1% finishing 13-of-27. Seifert led the Bulldogs with 18 total points on the night followed by 16 from
DJ Morrow and 11 from Dickerson. Rechsteiner finished with a career high 12 rebounds.
Adrian's next contest will be on Sunday, January 28 when they travel to Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit to take on the Trine University Thunder at 5:15 PM.
