DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team traveled to new NCHA member, University of Dubuque, for the weekend. The Bulldogs offense stepped on the gas with four Bulldogs having multi-goal games to win 14-1.
Kathryn Truban opened the scoring with an early first period goal followed by goals from
Kaleigh Cadorette and
Maya Roy to lead 3-0 after the first. Adrian would go on to explode for seven goals in the second period. After Dubuque scored to open the period,
Une Bjelland answered to lead 4-1.
Zoe Lohrei picked up her first goal of the game followed by a goal from
Aileena Dopheide and Lohrei's second of the game.
Hunter Reardon scored before Roy and Cadorette each picked up their second goal.
In the third period,
Jocelin Hudanish scored a pair of goals while
Karmen Anderson scored and Lorhei completed the hat trick.
Anderson added four assists on the night while Bjelland added five. Lorhei collected two assists to go with her hat trick.
Vanessa Ruban got the start in goal for the Bulldogs where she picked up her first win of the season to go along with eight saves.
With her five assists tonight,
Une Bjelland becomes the Adrian College women's NCAA hockey record holder for most assists in her career with 90.
Adrian wraps up the series tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 PM EST in Dubuque.
