KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team was on the road Wednesday night at Kalamazoo College. The Bulldogs would snap their six-game losing streak with a 75-56 win over the Hornets.
Kalamazoo would jump on Adrian early coming out to an early 8-2 lead in the first quarter. The Bulldogs would fight back, but would still be down one after the first ten minutes with the score being 16-15. A back and forth second quarter allowed the Hornets to stick around. The Bulldogs would hit a bunch of tough shots and regain the lead by one heading into the half, 33-32. Adrian would shoot 45% from the floor and go 3-5 from beyond the arc.
Julia Tierman would get the Bulldogs going with a jumper leading to a 10-2 run to start the third quarter. Adrian would end the third quarter of play up 52-41. The Bulldogs would be able to pull away with the win being up by 22 points for their largest lead of the game. Adrian would earn their third conference win of the season with a 75-56 win. The Bulldogs would shoot 50.9% from the field and 54.5% from three-point range.
To lead the Bulldogs was
Kylie Skidmore with 20 points on 7-11 from the field.
Kiaya Warner,
Ashlyn Weatherly, and
Bailey Taylor would also be in double figures in the forty-minutes of play. Skidmore would also grab 11 rebounds while Taylor would add eight and Weatherly contributed seven. Skidmore would dish out a team-high seven assists with Tierman adding five of her own.
Adrian will host The University of Olivet on Wednesday, January 31 at 7:00 PM for their next conference game!
