ADRIAN, MICH. – Adrian College volleyball dominated Alma College in straight sets during their conference home opener, bouncing back strong after a tough loss to Siena Heights University the previous night. The Bulldogs edged Alma in a thrilling first set, 27-25, with senior Amber Morris leading the charge, tallying 11 kills, one block, and 11 digs.
Sophomore Virginia Rowan also delivered an impressive performance with nine kills, three blocks, and three digs, helping Adrian take control of the second set, 25-20. Junior Kayla Chan was a force at the net, contributing four blocks and seven kills, while junior Megan Reckling orchestrated the offense with 18 assists, supported by sophomore Kendall Sullivan, who added 12 assists of her own.
The Bulldogs secured the third and final set, 25-20, with a standout defensive effort from junior Rainie Atherton, who posted a match-high 16 digs. Senior Mya Minjares also contributed solidly in the backcourt with 12 digs.
Adrian will travel to Holland, Michigan, to face Hope College on Wednesday, October 9, at 6:30 PM.
