ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team opened the season on Friday night as they began their two-game series with SUNY Canton. After a scoreless regulation, SUNY Canton came away with a 1-0 overtime victory.
Adrian out shot SUNY Canton 42-10 on the night, but struggled to find the back of the net. Each team finished the night 0-for-3 on the power play.
Kathryn Truban led the Bulldogs with six shots on goal followed by five from
Annika Hanson and five from
Gia Avalone.
Annie Gilbert earned the start in goal where she collected nine saves.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, November 2 at 3:00 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena where they will look to split the series with SUNY Canton.
