ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team began its series with Aurora University. The No. 2 Bulldogs hosted the No. 11 Spartans on Friday night battling to a final score of 4-1 in favor of Aurora.
Aurora opened the scoring in the first period to lead 1-0. In the second period, the Bulldogs scored a goal on a power play by
Ian Amsbaugh to tie the 1-1 entering the third. Aurora snuck in a goal to take the lead 2-1 before scoring again on a 2-on-1 opportunity. Aurora sealed the game with an empty netter to win 4-1.
David Clarke and
Bradley Somers added a point on the night with an assist on Amsbaugh's goal.
Dershahn Stewart started in goal for Adrian where he recorded 34 saves.
The Bulldogs will look to even the series tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 PM.
