GRANVILLE, Ohio. -- The Adrian College women's basketball team opened play at the Sara Lee Classic Tournament, hosted by Denison, on Saturday. The Bulldogs tipped off against the Big Red, but fell by a 79-34 score.
Adrian struggled offensively in the game, mustering less than half of what Denison put up in the game. Senior
Kylie Skidmore led the way for Adrian with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 dimes.
Aubrie Ickes collected two steals for the Bulldogs in the game.
As a team, the Bulldogs went 11-54 from field goal range, finishing at 20.4%. From the three-point line, Adrian struggled going 2-17 equaling 11.8%. Adrian managed a 43.5% average from the free-throw line, going 10-23, but it wasn't enough as the team moves to 0-3 on the year.
The Adrian College women's basketball squad will await the loser of tonight's La Roche and Ferrum contest, and will take them on tomorrow at 1:00 PM in the consolation game in search for their first win of the season.Â
