ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team opened up with No. 4 Utica University on Saturday night to start the two-game non-conference series. The No. 3 Bulldogs fell to Utica, 3-2, with under a minute to go in the game.
The first period was scoreless between the two teams. Late in the second period, Utica struck first on a power play to take a 1-0 lead. With under a minute to go,

Theo Thrun netting the goal to tie the game 1-1 entering the third period. In the third period,
David Clarke scored his first career goal for the Bulldogs to take a 2-1 lead. Two minutes later, Utica answered shorthanded to tie the game 2-2. With under a minute to play, Utica found an opportunity and buried the game winner to come away with a 3-2 victory.
Dershahn Stewart finished the game with 31 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
Adrian will look to split the series on Sunday, November 3 when they face off with Utica at 1:00 PM.
