APPLETON, Wis. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team began its series with Lawrence University on Friday evening on the road. The Bulldogs bounced back and grabbed a 4-1 victory to move to 4-3 on the season and pick up their first conference win of the year.
 
Adrian went down 1-0 in the first period, but Frank Tafelski netted a power play goal to take a 1-1 tie into the first intermission. In the second period, the Bulldogs struck again on a power play to take a 2-1 lead on a goal from Bradley Somers. In the third period, Ian Amsbaugh added a goal for the Bulldogs to extend the lead to 3-1. Late in the period, Ryan Pitoscia netted an empty net goal to win 4-1.
 
Tafelski added an assist to his goal on Friday night while Jacob Suede and Amsbaugh recorded a pair of assists. Dershahn Stewart started in goal on Friday earning the win after recording 19 saves.
 
The Bulldogs will wrap up the series with Lawrence tomorrow afternoon with puck drop scheduled for 5:00 PM ET.
