ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team opened the weekend with Lawrence University on Friday evening. The Bulldogs went on to shutout the Vikings 10-0. Adrian College moves to 5-0 in NCHA play and has won 23 consecutive regular season conference games dating back to the 2022-23 season.
The Bulldogs led 3-0 at the end of the first period.
Kathryn Truban started the scoring for the Bulldogs followed by goals from
Allie Hubenschmidt and
Emma Simon. In the second period,
Aileena Dopheide,
Courtney Ben, and
Zoe Lohrei netted goals to make it 6-0. Simon made it 7-0 entering the third with her second goal of the game. Adrian added on in the third period with Lohrei netting her second of the game and Ben scoring her second and third goal of the game to complete the hat trick and lead 10-0.
Ben finished with five points on the night adding a pair of assists to her goals. Dopheide collected two assists on the night while
Riley Johnson tallied three. Keira Stack started in goal for Adrian earning her first career shutout with four total saves. As a team, the Bulldogs led in shots 69-4.
Adrian will wrap up the series with Lawrence tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 PM.
