ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team completed the sweep over Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon. The 12-1 victory over the Vikings marks the 200
th career win for head coach
Chad Davis. The Bulldogs move to 7-1 on the season and take their conference record to 6-0. Adrian has won 24 consecutive NCHA regular season conference games.
Tia Lascelle started the scoring early for Adrian with a quick goal to lead 1-0. Lawrence answered back 21 seconds later to tie the game.
Zoe Lohrei,
Paige Pomerleau, and
Aileena Dopheide picked up first period goals to lead 4-1. In the second period,
Courtney Ben netted a pair of goals for Adrian. Also scoring goals in the second were
Hunter Reardon,
Jocelin Hudanish,
Karmen Anderson, and
Emma Simon. In the third, Ben completed the hat trick making it the second game in a row that she's scored three goals, and her third of the season. Hundanish netted her second of the game on a power play to lead 12-1.
Ben finished the game with five points for the Bulldogs adding a pair of assists while Dophiede added three assists for a four-point afternoon.
Emma Simon, Lascelle, and
Maya Roy each added a pair of assists.
Annie Gilbert got the win in goal recording one save.
Kiera Stack made three saves in the second period while
Vanessa Ruban made three in the third.
The Bulldogs will make a trip down to Tampa, Florida next weekend for a two-game tournament starting on Friday, November 29. The Bulldogs will face Trinity College from Connecticut starting at 7:00 PM.
