ADRIAN, MICH. - The Adrian College women's volleyball team fell just short in a five-set thriller against Albion College on Friday night.
After dropping the first two sets 16-25 and 19-25, the Bulldogs found their rhythm in the third, dominating with a 25-10 victory. Sophomore Virginia Rowan led the charge with a team-high 13 kills, while senior Amber Morris contributed with 11 kills of her own. Junior Megan Reckling orchestrated the offense with 26 assists, helping Adrian's comeback.
The Bulldogs weren't done yet, rallying to win a thrilling fourth set 25-21, with senior Mya Minjares anchoring the defense with an impressive 26 digs. However, despite their spirited comeback, Adrian's momentum fell short in the decisive fifth set, as they dropped the final set 15-10.
The Bulldogs will travel back to Albion on Tuesday, November 12, for a rematch in the first round of the MIAA Tournament.
